Santa Cruz Farmer Charged in Nightclub Murder of Exotic Dancer ‘Chocolate’

 

ST. ELIZABETH, Jamaica

A 33-year-old farmer from Coke Drive, Santa Cruz, has been formally charged with murder in connection with the fatal stabbing of an exotic dancer at a local nightclub in late June.

The accused, Kenrick Troupe, also known as ‘Brownman’, is alleged to have attacked 34-year-old Nickesha Francis-Monfort, known on the nightlife circuit as ‘Chocolate’, during a dispute at the club on June 28.

Surveillance Footage and Post-Mortem Findings

According to the Santa Cruz Police, surveillance footage captured Troupe hitting Francis-Monfort in the head during the altercation and stabbing her shortly after.

A post-mortem examination has confirmed that the dancer died from stab wounds to the torso and blunt force trauma to the head.

Arrest and Charges

Troupe was apprehended shortly after the incident, taken into custody, and later interviewed by investigators. Following the interview, he was formally charged with murder.

His court date is currently being finalized, and the investigation remains active.

The Santa Cruz community remains stunned by the tragedy. Francis-Monfort, a well-known entertainer in the area, was described as charismatic and hardworking, with a strong presence on the local club scene.
